We had quite a bit of rain fall on Saturday, June 7, 2008. We had so much rain that a lake formed right in front of our town house. Rob and I were about to go somewhere and we looked outside and our car had water half way up the tire. Rob moved it and then helped moved two cars to higher land, that had stopped in the middle of the road, he was soaked. Every time a car was able to get through the lake it would send a wave up to our door. We were thinking that if the water gets past our second stair, we would start moving our stuff to the back of the apartment or upstairs. Then our maintenance man came and unclogged our storm drain when all the lightening stopped and our lake started to drain away. We had a gathering in our front yard and we saw little kids having a hay-day in their swimsuits. We have been having some crazy weather; two nights in a row with tornado warnings, Severe thunder and lightening warning and a flash flood. Adelle survived her first flood.
