Getting updated

Well, the months fly by near the end of the year, what with three exciting holidays all in a row. So, because I feel like I was busy you get a review. October began with us hosting two Brazilian girls from a dental school in Brazil. They stayed a week and did research at the I.U.P.U.I. dental school. We all had fun. We had one sleep in the office/guest bedroom and one in Adelle's room. Adelle loved sleeping with us, I don't know about Rob and I liking it. It was the girl's first time in the U.S. They said it was so beautiful and spacious. They loved shopping. They were so nice and we loved having them here.

I went to a Families Supporting Adoption (FSA) conference the Saturday they left. I loved it and it helped lighten some of the concerns that I feel regarding adoption. Sometimes, I feel like it I am just not the type of person who is made for this. I think that is why we need to go through it though, so that I will grow and not remain stagnant. I loved talking to other adoptive couples and I loved hearing their stories. The stories were all so different. It helped me to recognize that Heavenly Father will only give us what we can deal with. He will lead us to the situation that feels right and it will end right even if we don't get what we want. I felt so much better after that conference and so blessed.

Adelle was a dragon for Halloween and was adorable.

We found out that Biloxi, Mississippi is the next adventure for our family. Rob got accepted into the AEGD program. We will be moving there next August. After we stay with my parents in Alaska. Rob goes to his Commissioned Officer Training in the end of June, in Alabama. We are so excited. The BEACH!! Adelle is exited too, to go to "sippie".

We had Thanksgiving with Christy and her family.
Christy cooked her first turkey by herself, it turned out great. Jared stated walking really well when we were there. He is so funny, he does the spaz thing too, it must be a Brandt thing. I made Rai's apple pie ( her's will always be the best) and added 1/4 c. too much of sugar, by accident . It still turned out edible.

The day after thanksgiving Rob, Adelle and I went to the circle of lights held downtown. It was a lot of fun, I really liked being happy together with so many people there. We were all celebrating and welcoming a wonderful time of year, Christmas.

This December I am making an advent calendar and I am so close to finishing but I want to wait until Rob is done with school to pull out the sewing machine again. I feel really happy about how it is turning out. By the end of Adelle's classes in swimming and gymnastics she has improved a lot. She is using the two bubble belt instead of the three for swimming. And is learning to do cartwheels in gymnastics. I have really enjoyed watching her grow and do so good.
I have a few more presents to buy and then we are all done. I have made the sugar dough and it is ready in the fridge to be cut, cooked and decorated as soon as we find an evening Rob and I aren't busy or too tired. I am so excited for our little christmas together. I can almost hear Adelle say I love such and such and hug it. That is the best, seeing her so happy and excited.
